Responsibilities:
My client, a renowned Hedge Fund with billions of assets under management, is looking to hire a highly accomplished Data Engineer to work on a wide variety of data flow focussed projects, across Front Office, Middle Office, Finance and Risk workstreams.
In this role, you will work with business and technical stakeholders at all levels to drive and implement data driven projects, covering data visualisation, gathering, querying, mapping, modelling, cleansing, migration and architecture. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills and heavily influence the strategic direction of data projects at the firm.
Required Skills:
- Multiple years’ experience gained as a Data Engineer, preferably in Financial Services/Hedge Fund/Fintech/Banking environments
- Extensive track record in Data gathering, querying, mapping, modelling, cleansing and architecture
- Proven ability to co-ordinate and liaise with business and technical stakeholders in similar type firms
- SME understanding of Snowflake and the wider suite of Snowflake tools
- Proven track record of using the following technologies and platforms for data-centric activities:
- Snowflake and wider suite of Snowflake related tools (Essential)
- Redshift, Synapse, Big Query
- MySQL, RDS, Spanner
- ETL, ELT Technologies
- Erwin, Lucid, DbSchema
- Data Visualisation & Analytics Technologies – PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Excel
- Data Operations experience
